Overview
Mystery Guild is a book club that targets book lovers in the genres of mystery, horror, and suspense. After 65 years in business, it was time to update their visual identity. My design strategy for the rebranding was to have visuals and a color palette that communicated the product’s content and invigorate an already mature brand. So, I developed a wordmark that instantly reflects a sense of tension with a graphical representation of shattered glass. The dark/neutral color palette supports the idea of suspense with a pop of red to draw your attention to important information like messaging and CTAs. It’s a simple solution that could serve this brand for many years to come.
